AI for Project Managers Overview

This hands-on course builds on the experience you already have, so it does not start you from zero. Across eight Skill Sprints, you use Claude and ChatGPT with a sample project to plan work, manage risk, track progress, and communicate clearly with stakeholders. Every Skill Sprint ends with a small result you can use, explain, or build on.

  • Mostly hands on: you build each skill by doing it

  • A checking habit: you learn to catch AI errors before they matter

  • Guidance throughout: progress reviews show where you need support and what to do next

  • Two tracks: choose workplace growth or job search, with shared skills at the core

Delivered using OCA’s Skill Sprint™ Method with hands-on practice, real-world exercises, and instructor-led feedback.

Prerequisites

The following are needed before you start:

  • Working experience in project coordination or project management, however recent

  • A computer with internet access

  • Claude and ChatGPT accounts, with the plans confirmed before you start

  • Looking for Work track: your current resume and LinkedIn profile

All sample project materials and practice documents are included in your course material, so you never need to use confidential or employer data. This course is designed and delivered independently by Ohio Computer Academy and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, or Microsoft.

Why This Course Is in Demand

AI can draft a plan quickly, but it does not know your team, your constraints, or which risks really matter.

AI for Project Managers builds these skills through practical work, with a habit of checking AI output before it is used.
